The area around the city of Rome suggests interesting visits from a historical-cultural and food and wine point of view.
RomeLimousineOne offers the following itineraries.

TIVOLI
This locality offers the opportunity to visit two sites of different historical periods, both fascinating for their particularity. The oldest relates to the emperor Hadrian, a man of fine culture who had a mansion built just in Tivoli 40 km from Rome, which he personally took care of the details and construction, to the point of making it one of the largest and most sumptuous villas of the Roman Empire. Another appointment in Tivoli is Villa d’Este, a Renaissance palace with splendid Italian gardens adorned with magnificent fountains and water mirrors. RomeLimoOne at the end of the visits, suggests a local restaurant overlooking a Roman temple, excellent cuisine and service in English.

OSTIA ANTICA
Important archaeological site 25 km from Rome. At the mouth of the Tiber in the epoch preceding the birth of Jesus Christ, the Romans began to build what will then be increasingly expanded in the imperial era, the port of Rome, which at the time of its maximum expansion could accommodate up to 100 ships. A docking that allowed any material from all over the world, known at the time, to be brought to Rome. An important defense and trade center therefore developed around the port. A view of Lido di Ostia is recommended, to enjoy a good ice cream during a relaxing stroll along the seafront.

ROMAN CASTLES
Just outside Rome extend the Alban hills and the 13 towns of the Roman castles. Holiday resorts of the rich Romans since the times of the empire, the towns were founded by the Popes and Patrician families. Castel Gandolfo still hosts the pope’s summer residence today. Two lakes of volcanic origin frame the places, where good food, white wine and green nature have always been an ancient tradition. The view over the city of Rome from some of these countries is truly stunning.
